Add a missing permission to your Stripe key

This task appears as a red notice at the very top of the dashboard, not in the regular task list. It reads "Urgent: invoices are being held". The task reminder by email, which is in German, lists it as "Dringend: Dem Stripe-Schlüssel fehlt ein Recht, Rechnungen werden zurückgehalten".

What happened
A call to Stripe failed because your Stripe key lacks a permission. The task names the permission as it appears in the Stripe key editor, for example "Stripe key: “Funding Instructions” (write) permission missing". There are two cases:

The first time it happens you immediately get an email with instructions. If the task opens again after a fix, the email is sent again.
Why Rechnungskit stops here
Without this permission Rechnungskit cannot put your customer's Stripe bank details on the invoice. Rechnungskit never puts your own bank's IBAN there instead. Otherwise the money would bypass Stripe and the payment at Stripe would stay open. So Rechnungskit does not create the invoice and sends nothing until the permission is there.
How to resolve it
- In the Stripe Dashboard, open the restricted key Rechnungskit uses under Developers → API keys.
- Set the permission named in the task to write, for example "Funding Instructions".
- In Rechnungskit, click "Fix now" on the red notice. For Stripe invoices with a payment term, the link takes you to the "Stripe invoices with a payment term" card under Connections → Document rules. It also shows how many invoices are waiting.
- Click "Fixed, check now" there. Rechnungskit checks the permission right away, creates the held invoices and shows you which ones were created.
In the "stripe_transfer" case the link takes you to Connections → Connect. There is no check button there. The task closes as soon as the next invoice with Stripe bank transfer succeeds.
When the task closes on its own
As soon as a call with the permission succeeds, the task closes. For Stripe invoices with a payment term this happens through your click on "Fixed, check now" or through the automatic check every four hours. The automatic check only runs while invoices are being held.
If the permission goes missing again later, the same task reopens. Every check is recorded with time and result.
