Replace a rejected access token

Updated

This task does not report a payout that differs, but a Mollie connection that lacks a valid access token. In the app it appears as the payout task "Payout does not reconcile", and its text starts with "Mollie payout reconciliation paused". The task reminder by email, which is in German, lists it under "Zugriffstoken abgelehnt: Auszahlungs-Abgleich pausiert".

  2. You"Store a new token"create a token with five read permissions at Mollie and save it under Connections → Connect
  3. ThenTask closedthe next run catches up on payouts and fees
Payments and invoices keep running normally in the meantime.

What happened

For payout reconciliation with Mollie, Rechnungskit needs an advanced access token (access_…) in addition to the API key. The reconciliation runs once a day at night. The task appears in two cases:

  • No advanced access token has been saved at all.
  • Mollie rejects the saved token because a permission is missing or the token was revoked.

As long as that is the case, payout reconciliation and the import of Mollie fees are paused. Under Payouts you then see "Payout reconciliation paused" with the link "Go to connections".

Why Rechnungskit stops here

Without a valid token Rechnungskit cannot read Mollie's settlements and balances. Instead of showing payouts with missing fees or items as reconciled, the reconciliation pauses and reports it.

Your invoices are still created, because they depend on the API key and not on the token.

How to resolve it

  1. At Mollie, create a new advanced access token with exactly these five read permissions: payments.read, refunds.read and disputes.read (under Accepting payments) and settlements.read and balances.read (under Business operations). Choose "All profiles" as the profile and "Live mode" as the API mode. Rechnungskit rejects a token that is limited to one profile.
  2. In Rechnungskit, open Connections → Connect. With a rejected token, the Mollie connection shows "Store a new token". If there is no token at all, enter it in the connection's "Advanced access token" field.
  3. When you save, Rechnungskit checks the token. If it works, the task closes. The next run catches up on the payouts.

Illustrated instructions are at rechnungskit.de/integrationen/mollie#zugriffstoken.

When the task closes on its own

As soon as a working token is saved or a reconciliation run succeeds again, the task closes. This also applies if you have set up the Mollie connection again in the meantime.
